So this is going to be the new look for the blog. If you're reading this, it must mean I was able to fumble my way through the creation of a website at least that far.
Now that the home building portion of the farm is complete and we don't have much on the go for winter projects, entries will be posted much more regularly and divided into a few different categories:
These will be a bi-weekly update very similar to the archived blog on wordpress. It will still be written by Erin and will deal mostly with what we've been getting up to, what we're encountering in the tiny house transition and what we've been doing to keep the dog appropriately entertained.
Weekly inspiration to live more intentionally. These will typically be in a "Watch, Read, and Listen" format where we have found one video, one article, and one audio clip (podcast, etc.) that will help to keep you on track and motivated. Also it's easier to copy and paste a link than it is to generate new content and Mondays are hard.
These will be posted every Thursday and will typically deal with a specific topic relating to budget, strategies and ideas for deliberate living. It is meant to be a discussion and we'd love for this site to become a community so do feel free to leave a comment and describe your own experiences even if you don't agree.
We plan to get started with this category a little farther down the road. The idea here is to briefly interview people who have left their daily grind in order to pursue their passion and ask them the same eight questions. I've got a short list of people to chat with from my own life but if this is going to be a weekly item, I'm definitely going to need a few more so if you know anyone whose drive and unconventional thinking is an inspiration to you, please get in touch and let me know.
And so that's the plan! I hope you are as excited about it as we are and can look past some of the errors I will definitely be making creating my first website but I promise if you tough out the first few weeks, it will be worthwhile.
This could be the start of a really supportive and unique community here, so if you have any ideas, suggestions or feedback, please leave them in the comments section below or send us an email to email@example.com
